Internationally acclaimed kirtan and spiritual music artist and a Grammy nominated Acyuta Gopi, is set to take center stage at the closing ceremony of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2025) in Goa. Renowned globally for her powerful voice and transformative kirtan experiences, Gopi will deliver a special act curated for the festival’s finale.
“Across the world, we are witnessing a remarkable cultural shift where young people, especially Gen Z, are embracing spirituality and finding joy in coming together over bhajans and devotional music. This resurgence shows how our traditions continue to evolve with the times, creating experiences that are uplifting, inclusive, and genuinely celebratory.” Said Sanjay Jaju, Secretary, Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.
“As part of the cultural programme for IFFI’s closing ceremony, we felt it fitting to invite Achyuta Gopi, whose Krishna bhajans have a unique way of bringing communities together. I am confident her performance will offer audiences a refreshing and memorable experience.” Jaju added.
Opening the closing evening will be the inspiring Miracle on Wheels, India’s pioneering inclusive dance initiative empowering differently-abled artists through innovative choreographic performances. Their act will set the tone for an unforgettable night of artistic expression and cultural celebration.
As part of WAVES OTT’s showcase at IFFI, Acyuta Gopi will also perform alongside select winners from last year’s Create India Challenge, bringing together rising talent and celebrated artistry on one global stage. This collaboration underscores the platform’s commitment to nurturing, elevating, and celebrating India’s next generation of creators.
The performances are expected to be among the standout moments of the closing ceremony celebrating diversity, artistic freedom, and the transformative power of storytelling across mediums and abilities.
These acts will be telecasted live on WAVES OTT and will also be available as VOD, allowing audiences across India and around the world to experience the magic of IFFI’s grand finale.
The closing ceremony will host an international gathering of filmmakers, industry leaders, artists, and dignitaries.
