During the lockdown, when the whole world was quiet and everyone was stuck at home, Arya Gavande was looking for something to do. To pass the time, she picked up a simple pen and a blank paper. She didn’t know it then, but this small step would change her life.
“I had nothing to do, so I just started drawing,” Arya says. “Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with the process.”
Finding Calm in Circles
Arya started drawing Mandalas—art made of circles, patterns, and lines. For her, it wasn’t just drawing; it felt like a break from all the stress. The patterns made her feel safe and calm.
Arya explains, “It felt like meditation. The more I drew, the more I found myself.”
A Friend’s Support
At first, this was just a hobby. But then, a close friend saw her drawings and was amazed. The friend told her, “You’re really good at this—don’t stop.”
That one sentence gave Arya the confidence she needed. She realized she could take her art seriously.
Creating Special Memories
Today, Arya Gavande is a known artist. She creates beautiful, detailed Mandalas. She doesn’t just draw random patterns; she makes custom artwork for people. She turns their memories and stories into beautiful designs.
“Custom pieces feel special,” Arya says. “Every design becomes a part of someone’s world.”
Art is Peace
What started as a way to kill time has now become Arya’s passion. Her art is still as gentle and peaceful as it was on that first day of lockdown.
“Art found me when I wasn’t looking for anything,” she says with a smile. “And it’s been my peace ever since.”
