Oppidan Golden Dragon Karate Academy Shines at Invitational State-Level Karate Championship

An Invitational State-Level Karate Championship was successfully held on 13th and 14th December at Meena Tai Thakare Stadium, witnessing participation from around 650 players across the state.

Athletes from Oppidan Golden Dragon Karate Academy, supported by Oppidan India Group, delivered an outstanding performance, with 10 students winning medals in various categories, bringing pride to the academy and the region.

Medal Winners:

• Sanvi Sawant – 2nd position in Kata

• Laweeza Sheikh – 1st position in Kata, 2nd position in Kumite

• Aliza Sheikh – 3rd position in Kata and Kumite

• Adiba Chaudhary – 1st position in Kata, 3rd position in Kumite

• Maira Chaudhary – 3rd position in Kata

• Arsh Chaudhary – 3rd position in Kata

• Zaith Chaudhary – 3rd position in Kata

• Sanvi Kalbhor – 3rd position in Kata

• Ayat Chaudhary – 3rd position in Kumite

A special highlight of the championship was Yuvraj Gawade, who was awarded the prestigious “Best Player of the Championship” in the Under-16 category.

The event was organised by Vishwa Sports Academy. The success of the players was a result of disciplined training and dedicated coaching under Head Coach Om Ingole and Coach Omkar Munde.

The Oppidan India Group congratulated all the players, coaches, and parents for this remarkable achievement and wished them continued success in future competitions.
