Kajol & Rani Mukerji Comes Together With the Bhamla Foundation to Award Nearly 500 Scholarships to Girls From BMC Schools.

For Kajol & Rani Mukerji empowerment has always begun with education. And this is a belief that the actress finds strong resonance in, as she comes together with the Bhamla Foundation’s Asif Bhamla and Saher Bhamla for their ‘Empower to Educate – Supergirls of Tomorrow’ initiative. This Christmas, the actress has decided to spread Christmas cheer and aligned herself with the foundation’s mission to uplift young girls by supporting their education, as nearly 500 scholarships will be awarded to students from BMC schools, including specially-abled and differently-abled children.
Through this collaboration, Kajol & Rani Mukerji lends her voice and presence to a cause that goes beyond symbolism. The initiative, spearheaded by Asif Bhamla and Saher Bhamla, is designed as a long-term commitment to ensure sustained academic support for girls who need it the most, thus reinforcing the idea that education remains the most powerful tool for lasting social change.
Kajol’s & Rani Mukerji association with ‘Empower to Educate’ seamlessly complements the Bhamla Foundation’s legacy of action-driven initiatives. Known for its impactful work ranging from beach clean-up drives across Mumbai to environmental advocacy and tree plantation campaigns such as #EkPedMaaKeNaam, the foundation continues to place community welfare at the forefront of its efforts.
With support from voices across culture and governance, including Amruta Fadnavis, Hon. Adv. Ashish Shelar, BMC Commissioner Bhushan Garrani, Sachin Joshi, Anand Pandit, musical performances by Kanika Kapoor, and an interactive session hosted by RJ Malishka the initiative stands as a collective call to action.
Together Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Amruta Fadnavis, Asif Bhamla and Saher Bhamla underline a powerful truth: when girls are educated, futures are transformed, and the nation moves forward.
