Actress and Singer Lizaa Malik celebrated her 11th year of Ganpati this year….
Lizaa said that her Ganpati idol is different from all other ideals as the designs are all very customized.She always picks the body or the structure of the murti from her regular vendor and then she is very keen to design it as per the theme and decor of the particular year.This year her Ganesha idol is in pink colour, and the outfit of Lord Ganesha is made of white pearls.The whole decoration of the pandal is done by Lizaa herself without any help taken from carpenters or anybody else.She personally loves doing DIY’s so every year this is the special thing that she does for Lord Ganesha.
The special food items that are kept as bhog this year are prepared by Lizaa herself.So, she has got up early this morning and prepared modak and 11 different varieties of food items which signifies the 11 th year.
The first day ‘bhog’ or ‘naivedya’ is prepared by Lizaa and from the second day ‘bhog’ she prefers little help from people, says the actress.
This is the thing that makes it special for her.She doesn’t believe in Fashion Ganpati, but she does celebrate this festival genuinely.She truly loves doing things on her own.
The famous singer and her friend Shibani Kasyap also turned up to seek blessings of Lord Ganesha, at Lizaa Malik’s home.
The Ganpati festival is a time when we affirm our close relationship with Ganesha not only as a God, but also as a philosopher and guide who gives us the wisdom we need to overcome our problems.
